The 2nd Battalion deployed Co A and Co C with elements from Co D, Co G, and HHC to Baghdad in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. As the only active battalion left in the 22nd Infantry Regiment, the regimental colors have been with the 2nd Battalion in Fort Drum, NY since the inactivation of the 1st Battalion in 2014.
